TEHRAN (Sputnik) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday said that proponents of hard-line policies against Iran intend to undermine the atmosphere that has been created to lift sanctions from the country.
The report comes amid speculation that the Trump administration will try to reinforce its policies in the region during what is presumed to be the last days of Trump in office before the next president swears upon the Bible.
On Friday, Fakhrizadeh, an Iranian nuclear physicist and the head of the Iranian Defense Ministry’s innovation center, was killed in a gunmen attack in the town of Absard in the Tehran region, which caused outrage and condemnation in the middle east.

ANKARA (Sputnik) – The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Turkey’s western Izmir province has gone up to 73, according to the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
According to reports by the Syrian state-run broadcaster, Al-Ikhbariya, the explosion in the southwestern Syrian city of Deraa caused several injures.
