Modi Government Eyes ‘Modern’ Makeover for Jammu & Kashmir One Year After Change of Special Status

New Delhi (Sputnik): After the revocation of the semi-autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised development, prosperity and end of violence in the region with the move. India has also planned around $2.9 billion investment in the state.
